Copy Event

Using Govstack Events, you can recreate a past event using the copy feature. This tool is useful if you are hosting an event that is similar to—or the exact same as—a previous event. For example, you may hold an annual celebration. To do this, you can copy the event from the previous year and simply update some of the details for the new event.

Access events

You can copy an event from the “My Events” page. Select the “My Events” tab from the Govstack Events toolbar. This will take you to a screen with all of the events that you have created or have access to. Use the “Events” dropdown menu to access events from different calendars. The events you can access will depend on your user permissions.

Copying an event

Select the “Copy Event” icon next to the event that you'd like to copy. This will take you to the “Event Information” form and you will have the option to edit the event. For example, you may want to change the date, time or location.

Once you've made all of the necessary edits, select the “Preview” button at the bottom of the page. You'll have the opportunity to review the information before you create a copy of the event. If you are happy with the information, select the “Submit” button. If you'd like to make further edits, select the “Back” button.

Your copied event will appear in your My Events list once you've submitted the event.
