Govstack CMS V1.0.0 Release Notes

Hello,

We are pleased to bring release version 1.0.0 to the Govstack content management system (CMS), scheduled to occur on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 7 a.m. EST. With this release, we have focused on quality, performance and fixing minor bugs.

Product: Govstack CMS
Release category: Key Improvements and Bug Fixes
Release date: April 13, 2023 | 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST
Release number: 1.0.0

Upcoming outage window

To update the system with the newest release, please be advised that there will be a planned Govstack CMS outage window on Thursday, April 13 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST. Your Govstack CMS instance will experience an approximately 15-minute downtime period within this window. You will not be able to access the back end of Govstack CMS and users will not be able to view your public-facing website during this 15-minute period.

Key improvements and bug fixes

Included within this release, we have:

  • Allowed users to manage inbound URL redirects from the Govstack CMS back office. Editors can easily create permanent (301) and temporary (302) redirects to content and media within the public-facing website, or to external URLs. Editors can also create short URLs for content and media (for the purpose of a campaign, etc.).
  • Changed the display order of the News Feed component’s posts to descend based on the posts’ Posted Date’ instead of ‘Published Date’. This means that republishing a news post will not cause it to appear at the top of the News Feed.
  • Fixed a layout issue whereby elements in uneven numbered rows previously displayed the last element slightly taller than its adjacent elements.
