Views

You can display the calendar with a variety of different views. For example, you may have an events calendar and a council calendar on your website. You could create individual views for each calendar and one view that pulls information from all of the calendars.

Make a view

A view determines how the calendar appears on the website. To add a view, select “Configuration” from the “Calendar” toolbar. Select “Views” from the navigation menu on the left. Click the “Add View” button.

This will take you to the “Add View” screen. Complete all of the required fields.

  • Set the “Module” field to “Month/Week Module” (unless otherwise specified). For Council calendars, select “Council Module” from the dropdown menu
  • In the “Template” field, select a non-default template. There may be multiple templates configured. Select the template that matches the same view selection
  • Fill in the “Name” field with the name of the calendar(s) used in the view
  • Enter the calendar-specific URL (everything after the slash) in the “Path” field
  • Select the checkbox next the calendars you'd like to include in this view
  • Leave the “View Top Text” field blank unless you want content to appear above the calendar

Once you've completed all necessary fields, select “Save” to add the view.

Calendar URLs

To obtain the URL address, enter the Govstack Events subdomain and then add the "Path" after a forward slash. This URL address will need to be linked on the Govstack CMS website in order for the public to find the calendar.

Configure calendar views

Once you've added a calendar view, you need to configure the view. Select the “Configure” icon located next to the view you want to configure from the main “View” screen. Configuration options change based on the “View” and “Field Set” you created. Contact us for help configuring your calendar.
