Add Menu Manager to your Website

Menu Manager provides greater navigation utility, design options, and automatic menu generation for Govstack websites. It is available on all sites, but if you have an older website you may need to add this tool to your Global Node manually.

Once added to your site, Menu Manager overrides the main navigation tool found in the navigation section of your Global Node. Changes to main navigation will no longer apply to your site.

Adding Menu Manager

To add Menu Manager to your Global Node, you need to:

  1. Navigate to the Global Node in the 'Content' navigation tree
  2. Select the 'Create' menu
  3. Choose 'Menu Manager' from the list of options
  4. Enter 'Menu Manager' in the 'Enter a name...' field
  5. Leave the 'Replace Default Menu' set to 'NO'. This will leave your current menus in place until you have configured your menu manager.
  6. Configure your menus using the 'Add content' option
  7. Toggle 'Replace Default Menu' to 'YES'. Activating this option will disable the main navigation tool in the navigation section of your Global Node.
  8. Select 'Save and publish' to complete the process

Creating a menu

You will need to configure Menu Manager once it is added to the site. This requires adding your website menus to your Menu Manager node.
